Welcome to the E-Learning resource page for Marseilles Elementary School. This webpage provides details about our district-wide plan for remote learning during full closures. The E-Learning plan ensures a seamless continuation of education for all students, incorporating structured schedules, interactive instruction, and robust communication.


Overview of the E-Learning Plan

Our 2024-2025 E-Learning Plan has been developed in accordance with guidelines from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). It is subject to change as necessary based on ISBE updates or district leadership decisions.

Key Features:
  • Attendance: Students must check in via a Google Form in their Google Classroom by 9:00 AM.
  • Instruction: Students engage in 5 hours of instruction daily, with teachers available for support from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
  • Grading: All work and assessments are graded equivalent to in-person standards.
  • Communication: Parent/teacher communication will continue through ClassDojo, TeacherEase, and Google Classroom.

Learning Schedules

Synchronous Learning: Students participate in live Google Meet sessions, which are recorded for future reference. The schedule varies by grade level, ensuring structured and interactive learning.

Specials and Support: Specials like music, art, and physical education occur at designated times. Special education services are provided based on individualized arrangements.


Curriculum and Resources

Our E-Learning plan integrates the following platforms and tools:
  • Family Communication: ClassDojo, TeacherEase
  • Classroom Tools: Google Classroom
  • Synchronous Learning: Google Meet
  • Video/Recorded Lessons: Accessible through Google Meet
Core curricula include Wonders 2020 (K-5 ELA), EngageNY (K-5 Math), and Amplify Science (Junior High).
