Mr. Ryan Clark » Hello!

Mr. Clark here!
What you need to know about me:
I teach 7th and 8th grade science, along with some life skills as well. I graduated from MES in 2008 and then from OTHS in 2012. I then went on to Olivet Nazarene University where I would receive my undergraduate in Biology. After I went to Liberty University to receive my Masters in Teaching: Secondary Science with honors. I grew up in Marseilles and I came back to make an impression just like the teachers made an impression on my life.
The Curriculum:
The middle school science curriculum we use is based on the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). This year I am excited to introduce students to the new content from Discovery Education. Discovery Education uses online resources such as scientific articles, videos, games, and other activities to engage students throughout their learning. Although the textbook, homework, quizzes, and labs are shown online, the program can easily be transitioned for in person learning.
Material Covered in the Curriculum:
  • Earth's Systems
  • Earth and Human Activity
  • Engineering Design
  • From Molecules to Organisms: Structures and Processes
  • Ecosystems: Interactions, Energy, and Dynamics
